Attorney Behnke is a Supplemental Court Commissioner and can officiate your wedding ceremony. You may choose any location in Dane County, but you will need to secure the location and/or get any permissions to have your ceremony in that location. Many ceremonies are held in Attorney Behnke’s office which is a small conference room that comfortably fits 5-6 people. To schedule a wedding contact the office with the desired date, time and location.
Fees are dependent on the day of the week (weekends are an additional charge) and location (ceremonies outside the office are an additional charge).
Witnesses – You will need two people who are at least 18 years of age to serve as witnesses. When you call we will also inquire as to the number of people who will be in attendance to be sure we can accommodate them if the ceremony will be in our office.
License – You will need to contact the County Clerk to obtain your license. The license requirements can be found on the county website http://www.countyofdane.com/clerk/marriage_license.aspx
